Confirmed: SRK & Kajol to reunite for Rohit Shetty’s next

It is definitely the news that will make audiences of a much-loved jodi very excited. Although rumours of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol reuniting on screen for Rohit Shetty’s forthcoming film were already doing the rounds, Khan himself had said that an official announcement will be made “in 10 days”. And now BizAsia can finally confirm that the popular pair will be coming together again for the film.

Incidentally, the news has now been confirmed on the day that happens to be Shetty’s birthday (14th March – it is now that date in India). Confirming the entire cast and other information about the film, Shetty told TOI, “The film has Shah Rukh Khan with Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Vinod Khanna, Kabir Bedi, Johny Lever and Varun (Choocha) Sharma. It is being made by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Rohit Shetty Productions. It is not a remake of any film and will release this Christmas”.

Shetty went on to say his eagerness on now beginning the film, which is expected to go on the floors on 20th March, “For eight months, there has been too much speculation about Dilwale. Shah Rukh sir asked me to announce my star cast and start shooting without much ado. So now, please let me make my film the way I know best”.

The film is reportedly called ‘Dilwale’.
