Concert Review: Magnificent Four Live in Concert

Date: 31st October 2021
Location: Morningside Arena, Leicester
Organisers: RockOn Music & TLC Events (Digital partner: BizAsia)

It’s not often that, mere months after becoming the finalists of an Indian reality singing show, the contestants go on to headline sell out concerts one after the other in the UK. Just a few months back, Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Mohammad Danish and Sayli Kamble had just begun to make their mark in an already competitive and cut-throat industry. But after their incredible performances on Sony’s Indian Idol Season 12, in which they were lauded as the superstars of tomorrow by big names of Bollywood including Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Jackie Shroff and others, these four contestants were catapulted into the limelight as well into the hearts of their millions of fans around the world.

Organised by RockOn Music one of the leading South Asian music promoters in Britain, in association with TLC Events, the live show held in Leicester’s Morningside Arena saw nearly 3,000 fans come together to be serenaded by the young four stars.

The show began with a warm welcome by the compere Missy B Sharma, and soon after, one by one, the young artists all took to the stage showcasing their talent, leaving the audience starstruck. Kamble regaled vintage Asha Bhosle songs, whilst Danish received a standing ovation for his power-packed rendition of Deva Shree Ganesha. Kanjilal took a trip down memory lane with classic Bollywood hits such as Kehna Hi Kya from the film ‘Bombay’ (1995) and Rajan entertained all with a melody of songs ranging from evergreen classics to modern pop beats including his heartfelt performance of Teri Mitti from the film ‘Kesari’ (2019), which left all with numb eyes.

The audience were also surprised by a special appearance from the acclaimed musical duo, The Leo Twins, who joined the young Indian Idols on stage for a powerful and melodious finale. As the words of the songs Dama Dam Mast Kalandhar and Jai Ho! echoed around the arena, the audience was forced to get onto their feet and dance till the last note had been sung.

Accompanied by the British Asian award winning band D26 Music, the harmonious evening exhibited the phenomenal talent of the young playback singers who though maybe new to the industry, have cemented their place as the singing superstars of tomorrow.

Another feather in the cap of RockOn Music, this is a show not be missed! The Magnificent Four will be performing in Leeds at The First Direct Arena on Sunday 7th November 2021.
