The BBC has received nearly 2,500 complaints since reports emerged on Friday that the corporation was planning to cull the BBC Asian Network and 6 Music to save money.

While the BBC has received around 2,313 complaints called for 6 Music to be saved; only 85 have lodged their support for the BBC Asian Network.
