With the World Twenty20 cricket well under way, and the Indian cricket team going for the win in their game against Pakistan, the country had much to celebrate. To top things off, Amitabh Bachchan graced the fans by singing the national anthem. However little did the actor realise that a small technicality in singing the anthem would land him in some trouble.
According toTimes of India, a complaint was issued by an Ulhas PR atAshok Nagar Police Station, New Delhi, which stated that the actor sand the anthem in 1 minute 22. Apparently, according to the complaint, this goes againstguidelines set by Ministry of Home Affairs, which states the anthem should take 52 seconds.
Looks like patriarc maybe going a little too far. It had also bee reported that cricketer Suarav Ganguly explained how Bachchan didn’teven charge for his efforts.
