The makers of ‘Sadak 2’ are facing a legal challenge after a complaint was filed for hurting Hindu sentiments through the film’s first official poster.
PTI reports that Acharya Chandra Kishore Parashar, a resident of Sikandarpur, has lodged the complaint under IPC sections 295A (deliberately outraging religious feelings) and 120B (criminal conspiracy).

Parashar has taken displeasure over the use of Kailash Mansarovar in the ‘Sadak 2 poster’. In a previous interview, Mahesh Bhatt had spoken about the poster, “Mount Kailash, the ageless mountain, has the footprints of gods and sages. It is the abode of god of all gods, Lord Shiva. So do we really need anything else? Or actors in that sacred space? Since the beginning of time, humanity found its shelter in Kailash. This is a place where all search ends. ‘Sadak 2’ is a Road to love. This sequel to ‘Sadak’ will take you on the mother of all love pilgrimages.”
The complaint has been filed against Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt and Alia Bhatt.
The hearing of the case has been fixed for 8th July.
‘Sadak 2’ will premiere directly on digital platform, Hotstar.
