Vivek Oberoi made his debut in 2002’s ‘Company’ and now he is all set to reprise the role of Chandu in a sequel which it is thought will be rolling by the end of the year.

Talking to Mumbai Mirror, Oberoi said, “I’m flattered that people still remember a role I shot for 13 years ago. In fact, many of my fans who don’t know my name call me Chandu bhai. They want to see me as a rough, rowdy, rugged anti-hero and that’s what I am going to give them in Company 2”.

Oberoi is a versatile actor and has tried his luck in the romance and comedy genres aside from action. However, he divulges, “A large number of my fans want to see me as the bad man”.

“I’m in the process of buying the rights. Producing a film is a full time job and all the more difficult since I have some acting commitments too. We can’t rush things because the original film was iconic, primarily because of the genius that Ram Gopal Varma is,” he adds.

‘Company’ bagged Oberoi a number of awards and no doubt he would want the sequel to have a decent impact too.
