Just a day after 21st Century Fox increased its bid to takeover Sky, rival Comcast has done the same today.

Comcast’s new offer values Sky at £26 billion, which equates to £14.75 pounds per share offer, beating Fox’s £14 per share.

Comcast said, “We believe it is an outstanding company and a great fit. Today’s announcement further underscores Comcast’s belief and its commitment to owning Sky.”

Sky’s shares have risen 95 per cent since Fox made its first bid in 2016, and have risen 55 percent in the last year.
