Colors UK to air Pakistani drama ‘Humsafar’

After the success of hit Pakistani drama ‘Humsafar’ on Rishtey in the UK, sister station will be re-running the popular series in a weekday daily slot from next week.

BizAsia can confirm that it will air the drama serial based on the book of the same name written by Farhat Ishtiaq. ‘Humsafar’ stars Fawad Afzal Khan, Mahira Khan and Naveen Waqar.

Last year, when Rishtey broadcast the series, it was one of the biggest success stories for the channel bringing in one of the biggest ever ratings to Rishtey. Colors is quickly getting in there to broadcast the series before the owner of the series, Hum TV arrives in the UK market next month. BizAsia exclusively announced earlier this month that Hum TV will be available on the Sky Digital platform from mid-February.

The 23-episodes of ‘Humsafar’ will air Monday to Thursday at 18:00 on Colors UK from Monday 27th January.
