Colors to axe ‘Phulwa’ and ‘Hawan’ this month

To make up for lost ground, Colors is all set to axe two dramas this month and make say for two others thereafter.

First, as reported previously ‘Hawan’ will be going off air at the end of this month. The Rajan Shahi produced drama has unable to meet channel officials expectations. It has proved a damp squib in the ratings.

Same applies to ‘Phulwa’, which started off on a good note, has deteriorated in the ratings recently. The show will be shutting shop on Friday 16th March.

Colors, which has slid down slightly in the ratings, is reviewing its programming output urgently to bring back viewers to the channel. Two new shows – 24 Frames۪ produced ‘Chal Sheh Aur Mat’ will replace ‘Phulwa’ on Monday 19th March at 21:00 and Shashi – Sumeet Mittal۪s ‘Kairi’ is launching at the end of this month or early April.
