India’s popular Hindi entertainment channel, Colors is set to drop the axe on its first daily drama ‘Bairi Piya’ next month to bring in a couple of new properties.
‘Bairi Piya’, which launched last September, will wrap up shooting later this month due to poor viewing ratings.
Supriya Kumari who plays Amoli, the lead protagonist of ‘Bairi Piya۪ confirmed the news to TellyBuzz; “Yes the show is going off air, we have been recently informed about the same. But I have no clue about the closure track of the serial.”
With the closure of ‘Bairi Piya’, Colors will be moving ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan’ to the 20:30 slot from early September and launch the new series of ‘Khataron Ke Khiladi’ in the later primetime slot.
Next month will see the launch of new series, ‘Rishton Se Badi Pratha’. It is yet to be confirmed when the new show will launch on Colors.
