India’s popular Hindi entertainment channel, Colors is launching on Virgin Media this Friday (1st April), BizAsia.co.uk can exclusively reveal.
The channel will be made available as a part of the platform’s new Asian Mela bouquet. Asian Mela will be the new brand name for The Asian Collection package, which is being unveiled on the same day.
The price for Asian Mela will remain the same at �11.00 per month for twelve Asian channels including Star Plus, ZEE TV, Sony Entertainment Television Asia, ARY Digital, B4U Movies, B4U Music, Zing, MAX, Star News, ZEE Cinema and ZEE Punjabi.
The UK’s most listened to Asian radio station, Sunrise Radio will also make its debut on Virgin Media from Friday. It will be available to all Virgin Media customers.
Channels like Imagine Dil Se, Sunrise TV and ZEE Cafe have been rumoured to launch on Virgin Media for several weeks but viewers will have to wait a little longer. Imagine Dil Se and Sunrise TV are likely to launch as a part of Virgin Media’s new Tivo offering later in the year.
Colors will be available on channel 826 and Sunrise Radio on 974 on the Virgin Media line-up.
