Colors & Star Plus to go Independence way

To celebrate India’s 63rd Independence Day this weekend, market leaders, Star Plus and Colors have lined special events to coincide with the special day.

Star Plus will air ‘Azaadi Live’, which will begin with a celebration act presented by the popular bahus of Indian television – Ragini Khanna and Parul Chauhan. In stark contrast to this happy and colourful performance, Harshad Chopra and Anuj will recreate the images of terrorist attacks. Through this heart-warming performance, they will remind viewers of the vulnerability of a common man to terrorism.

Shaleen Bhanot, Ashita Dhawan, Ayush Khedekar and Shreya will bring together different Indian festivals on one platform through a foot ���tapping performance. On the other hand, Abhishek Awasthi will highlight the plight of Indian farmers who commit suicides under dreadful circumstances.

‘Azaadi Live’ will be broadcast on Star Plus India at midday and UK at 21:00 on Sunday 15th August.

Colors will air ’15th August – A Salute To India’ will also feature stars from its popular shows. The programme will be shown on Colors India and UK on Sunday 15th August at 20:00.

While the two above shows will be shown in India and UK on the same day, ZEE TV on the other hand will telecast a show in India, which will be shown at a later date in the UK. The channel will air a special episode of ‘Yahan Mein Ghar Ghar Kheli’ featuring stars like Rubina and Avinash of ‘Chhoti Bahu’, Ankita and Sushant of ‘Pavitra Rishta’, Kratika of ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’, Suhasi Dhami of ‘Yahan Mein Ghar Ghar Kheli’, Additi Gupta, Binny Sharma and Iqbal Khan from the new venture ‘Sanjog Se Bani Sangini’ and Sana Sheikh of ‘Mera Naam Karegi Roshan’.
