Colors scraps ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ this year?

With new reality shows such as ‘Rising Star India’ and ‘India Banega Manch’ this year, Colors is reportedly resting ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ for 2017.

The hit dance reality show, which has been waning recently in popularity, is expected to return this year. Mumbai Mirror reports that currently the eighth season of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ will end in September, which will then make way for ‘Bigg Boss 11’. No other slots are available for ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’, especially with the launches of ‘Chandrakanta’, ‘Mahakali’ and ‘Dev’.

A source told the publication, “Bigg Boss will replace Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi that is currently on air, so there’s no slot for Jhalak this year.”

Despite rumours that Sridevi is likely to join the judging panel on ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’, no official confirmation from Colors has been released on the same.
