Colors, Rishtey, Rishtey Cineplex & News18 to join Sky basic pack

In another first on BizAsiaLive.com , we can reveal Viacom18’s channels – Colors, Rishtey, Rishtey Cineplex and News18 will enter the Sky Original Pack later this month.

The four channels will join Star Plus, Star Gold, Star Utsav, Life OK, ZEE TV, ZEE Cinema, ZEE Punjabi, &TV, Zing, Sony Entertainment Television, Sony MAX, Sony SAB TV, Sony Mix, B4U Movies, B4U Music and MTV Beats, all of which are available to all Sky subscribers at no extra cost. Colors HD will join the Sky Box Sets pack, which also includes Star Plus HD, Sony TV HD, Sony MAX HD and &TV HD.

Colors, Rishtey, Rishtey Cineplex and News18 have up until now done well as free-to-air channels on the Sky platform. The changes will now put all the major Indian broadcasters in the same pack, which will make observations on UK ratings a little more interesting.

Recently, BizAsiaLive.com reported that Rishtey Cineplex left the Freeview platform. This was to pave way for the changes taking place on Sky.

Colors, Rishtey, Rishtey Cineplex and News18 will join the Sky basic pack from Thursday 17th August.
