Colors HD begins full video testing in UK

After BizAsiaLive.com exclusively revealed news of Colors HD test label popping up off the Sky Digital EPG, the channel has now begun full video testing.

The test is currently showing a separate feed to its SD service. However, this is expected to change ahead of its official launch next month. The tests are showing videos of Colors’ shows without the Colors channel bug.

Colors will be only the third South Asian broadcaster to launch a HD version of its channel. Star Plus and ZEE Network’s &TV are the only other two services that currently run HD channels in the UK.

Full video tests of Colors HD can be viewed at the following parameters below:
-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> Select System Setup
-> Select Add Channels
-> Enter frequency: 11.612 (H), FEC: 2/3, SR: 23000 / DVB-S2 / 8PSK
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight “55400″ service and press Yellow button
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> Click on “55400” to view the channel
