Colors halts plans for ‘India’s Got Talent 8’

Colors has reportedly put back plans to launch reality show ‘India’s Got Talent 8’.

According to Telly Buzz, auditions had taken place in January but as the show is facing budget cuts, it will no longer go on-air in its current time frame. The report adds that the show will not be back for another season until budget issues have been resolved.

The decision seems surprising as Colors relies on ‘India’s Got Talent’ as a part of its Winter/Spring programming to fill the weekend slot. It currently is airing ‘Rising Star India’, so it remains to be seen what show will follow after it concludes in March.

‘India’s Got Talent’ is formed of Kirron Kher, Karan Johar, and Malaika Arora Khan.

  1. Hi,
As a regular viewer of IGT, I think it’s a positive news that IGT is back this year.
But as Iam happy for it’s return, Iam also dissapointed with it’s judges especially with Mrs. Kirron Kher.
I don’t think she should remain as a judge as she does a lot of drama during the contestants performances by putting her “sari pallu” in front of her face or covering her face with her “hands/sari pallu”.
Unfortunately she is a big ” drama queen”.
I think if she has agreed to judge a show then she should be brave enough to watch all the performances without any fear.
Therefore, in my opinion, she should step down as a judge in the show.
Because, the show needs a proper judge & not a “drama queen”.
    Please consider.
