Colors Golden Petal Awards 2017: Nominations list

Colors has announced details of its Colors Golden Petal Awards 2017, which take place at Mumbai’s NSCI DOME on 12th April 2017.

The event, now in its fifth year, will celebrate the achievements of the year gone by, recognizing the various relationships that viewers’ favorite stars have embodied and immortalized. This year, the Colors Golden Petal Awards will bring cool relief from the scorching summer with its ‘Snow Wonderland’ theme.

The opening performance will witness the strength of the COLORS family as artists from each show on the channel will come together for a spectacular act. Colors’ choicest jodis including Udann’s Sooraj-Chakor (Vijayendra Kumeria and Meera Deosthale), Harman-Saumya (Vivian Dsena and Rubina Dilaik) and Parth-Shorvori (Sidharth Shukla and Rashmi Desai) will sway to some romantic tunes while the young Shani (Kartikey Malviye) brings you a theatrical act highlighting the Dev-Asur sangram alongside Raghav Juyal.

The evening will take a dhaakad turn of sorts as Punjabiyon Di Shaan – Diljit Dosanjh will take centrestage with a high-octane performance on golden retro hits along with Colors’ leading ladies even as Monali Thakur sizzles with television’s chocolate boys Karanvir Bohra and Sharad Malhotra joining her amongst others.

Providing some comic relief with their tongue-in-cheek humour will be the evening’s hosts – the silver-tongued Karan Johar and the Queen of wits Farah Khan. Joining them through different segments will be the quirk mister Raghav Juyal, Miss Sensibility Rubina Dilaik, the hilarious Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek.

The main highlight of the evening will be the awards that celebrate the carefully fostered relationships that bind Colors’ artists to its viewers. Some of the nominations for the evening are:
