Colors extends primetime to 18:30 with ‘Banno’


Following in the footsteps of ZEE TV, Colors has now announced that it will be extending its primetime to 18:30 with the launch of its new show ‘Matti Ki Banno’ produced by Hema Malini.

Currently, the channel’s original evening content begins at 19:00 but due to the schedule being packed up until 23:00, Colors has decided to pit the new show at 18:30.

The story is about a girl who lives in Mauritius with her parents. The girl who lives the life of luxury gets a set-back in her life when she loses her parents and is forced to come back to India to live with her relative, who treats her badly.

Via Roy Choudhary will be playing the female protagonist. Manoj Chandila who debuted in Star Plus’ ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil’ has been finalised to play the male lead in the Hema Malini Media Entertainment’s show.

‘Matti Ki Banno’ will launch on Monday 27th December at 18:30.

ZEE TV India recently overhauled its schedule with the introduction of a new primetime slot starting at 18:00 with ‘Bhagonwali…Baante Apni Taqdeer’ and ‘Apno Ke Liye��_Geeta Ka Dharma Yudha’. However, in the UK, the channel decided to air these in the afternoon and evening respectively.
