Colors to extend primetime with two new shows in May

Colors will be the latest Hindi entertainment channel to extend its original offerings outside primetime.

Star Plus, which started the trend with early evening original shows and more recently, the afternoon Star Plus Dopahar slot, will have rival, Colors compete with two new shows in May.

Starting from Monday 15th May, comedy ‘Bhaag Bakool Bhaag’ will take the 17:30 slot, while hospital drama ‘Savitri Devi’ will take the 60-minute slot at 18:00. Currently, the channel has repeat telecasts of primetime shows airing in the 17:30 – 19:00 band. In UK, ‘Bhaag Bakool Bhaag’ will air on Rishtey at 22:00 from the same date.

‘Bhaag Bakool Bhaag’ is said to be made along the lines of the 90s Bollywood film ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’. It is about a man, who is caught between two marriages. Meanwhile, ‘Savitri Devi’, produced by Rashmi Sharma Productions is about a young medical intern who is on her way to fulfil her mother’s dream.
