Colors announces new primetime schedule

India’s popular Hindi entertainment channel, Colors has today confirmed its new weekday primetime schedule with a slew of changes.

The changes taking place on Monday 6th September will coincide with the launch of the third series of reality TV show, ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, fronted by Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra.

The series, which has been shot in Brazil will feature 13 male celebrities, known as the ‘khiladis’.

Speaking on this innovative new campaign, Ashvini Yardi, Programming Head of Colors said, ���The ��Khatron Ke Khiladi films ��are completely in sync with the fear and danger levels which will be seen in this season of the show- thrice as adventurous, thrice as dangerous and of course, three times the excitement.�۝ Adding to this she said, ���Just when viewers were expecting something predictable we raised the bar and have brought in a stunning host accompanied by 13 hot men who will be battling out dangerous stunts and a picturesque Brazil will make for a perfect combination. It is a complete treat to watch and the viewers are going to have an adventurous time watching the show�۝.

The programme has been pitted in the Monday to Thursday 21:00 – 22:00 band and will result in two shows being axed on the channel. As reported already on BizAsia.co.uk, ‘Bairi Piya’ and ‘Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam’ will exit from the channel. ‘Laggi Tujhse Lagaan’ will move from it’s current 21:30 slot to 20:30 where ‘Bairi Piya’ is currently situated.

The final episodes of the two shows on question will air on Thursday 2nd September.
