Colors adds two new shows to Saturday nights

Colors has confirmed toBizAsia.co.ukthe launch of two new Saturday night shows being added to the schedule at the end of this month.

The theme of the two shows will be crime/thriller and will be shown as a part of the channel’s new ‘Shaandar Shanivaar’ slot.

From Saturday 26th February, ‘Wanted High Alert’ featuring Sushant Singh as host will showcase real life cases of absconding criminals. The other will be a supernatural thriller ‘Anhoniyon Ka Andhera’ directed by renowned filmmaker Vikram Bhatt. It will star Anita Hassandani. The show will see Anita’s character talking to the dead and helping them put their spirits to rest.

About the launch of the show, Vikram said, “Earlier TV was considered as a secondary medium but today it۪s a parallel artistic medium. Since I have already made two horror films and am ready with a third in 3D, it seemed apt when Colors approached me to do a series in this genre.”

Prior to ‘Anhoniyon Ka Andhera’, Vikram had made a couple of episodes of Sony Entertainment Television Asia’s ‘Sony۪s Specials At 10’.

Both shows will be an hour-long each, starting at 22:00 and 23:00 respectively.

In March, Colors will also be launching Preity Zinta’s hosted ‘Guinness World Records – Ab India Todega’ in its new ‘Super Sunday’ slot.
