CITV to shutdown as a linear service in September

Children’s channel, CITV will be shutting down its linear operations in September, its been confirmed.

The service will move to digital service, ITVX and be rebranded to ITVX Kids from 1st September 2023.

CITV as a brand has been around since the 1980s. It will now be phased out to mark the digital era of the broadcaster. CITV’s final programme, ‘The Rubbish World of Dave Spud’ will air at 20:30 on 1st September before going off-air for good at 21:00.
