Cineworld is reportedly looking at a rescue plan, which will result in a number of its cinema sites closing in the UK.
The Financial Times reports that one of the options being mooted is a company voluntary arrangement with bank lenders. It has appointed AlixPartners to help restructure its business.
In October, it was revealed that Cineworld is facing closure due to the pandemic and the delay of big-budget 007 Bond movie ‘No Time To Die’.
Rival chain, Odeon cut openings hours in October. However, since earlier this month, all cinemas closed due to the second national lockdown.
