Chuck Russell goes Bollywood with ‘Junglee’

Hollywood director Chuck Russel is soon to be directing in Bollywood, BizAsiaLive.com can reveal. He will be directing Vidyut Jammwal in the forthcoming ‘Junglee’.

Priti Sahani, President at Junglee Pictures who are producing the film, has been hinting at approaching Russel for some time, according to Bollywood Hungama. Russell is thought to have agreed to direct the film after meeting with writer Ritesh Shah in India.

The film’s story will revolve around elephant-poaching in Kerala and will be shot in an elephant reserve. The film will be bilingual but has been written in Hindi.

It’s expected to go on the floors in October.

Russell is most known for directing films such as ‘A Nightmare of Elm Street’ (1987) and ‘The Mask’ (1994).
