Salman Khan has been known in recent years to lock the Eid slot for the release of his films. However, the latest buzz suggests that he may have bagged the Christmas 2017 slot for his next film, made by Rajkumar Santoshi.
The film is said to be a remake of the South Korean ‘Ode to My Father’ (2014). A source told Box Office India, “Rajkumar۪s film will release next year during Christmas. So far, Salman always releases his films during Eid and Diwali but, as of now, there are no other films slotted for that date”.
Khan’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri bought the rights of the film and it’s expected to roll next year. There were also rumours that Katrina Kaif could be seen as leading lady but this is yet to be confirmed.
Khan will be seen next in ‘Sultan’, opposite Anushka Sharma, slated for release on 6th July.
