‘Chitta Ve’ from ‘Udta Punjab’ could be renamed

‘Udta Punjab’ is facing much criticism from the censor board, and with the 89 cuts the censor has requested, the song ‘Chitta Ve’ may also have to be renamed.

Times of India reports that the board does have a problem with the word ‘chitta’, which means white, and refers to cocaine and ‘paidaishi h*r**i’. The makers are expecting the court’s decision against��’chitta’, and the lyricist of the song Shellee, says that he will be considering ‘luchcha’ for ‘chitta’ and ‘paidaishi badnaami’ for ‘paidaishi h*r**i,’ if the court has a problem with it but hopes they don’t.

The ‘Udta Punjab’ case is being heard in the Bombay High Court, and has gone through two hearings. The court will��announce their verdict on Monday.
