She may not have recently been seen on the big screen, however Chitrangada Singh has been seen walking down a few ramps for many fashion shows. One of which recently being a showstopper for a major designer, however the actress has expressed that her first choice will always be acting, and that modelling isn’t a profession she can see herself in.
Having been a showstopper for Tarun Tahiliani’s collection for this year’s Lakme Fashion Week, when asked about her career prospects, Times of India report Singh stating, “Of course I love acting more, walking the ramp and modelling is not something I would earn my living from.”
However, she’s not ruling out modelling completely. Talking of her experience with her recent appearance on the catwalk, Singh expressed, “That instant connect with the audience is so amazing. That is the reason why you are called a show-stopper because you come right at the end, and the whole build up is so exciting.”
Despite knowing how to work the ramp, Singh does go onto to talk about what scares her the most, “I have done many shows, but there is always this nervousness. We wear such long dresses and you are always thinking what if you trip on the twirl.”
Singh will next be seen shaking a leg in a dance number for Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Gabbar is Back’.
