‘Chhaava’ passed by censor board after a number of modifications
The highly anticipated film ‘Chhaava’, set to release in cinemas this Friday, has been cleared for release after making several changes based on feedback from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna, the movie underwent various modifications, including alterations to its dialogue. For instance, the line “Mughal sultanat ka zehar” was changed to “Uss samay, kayi shaasak aur sultanat khud ko zinda rakhne ki koshish kar rahe the.” Another line, “Khoon toh aakhir Mughalon ka hi hai,” was modified to “Khoon toh hai Aurang ka hi.”
Additionally, the words “haramzaadon” and “haramzaada” were muted, while “Aameen” was substituted with “Jai Bhavani.” A dialogue in the first half was also altered, and the CBFC requested the removal of a scene featuring Maratha warriors dressed in sarees.

Other changes included modifying the age references, such as replacing “16 saal” with “14 saal,” “22 saal ka ladka” with “24 saal ka ladka,” and “9 saal” to “kayi saal.”
