Chetan Bhagat calls out Vidhu Vinod Chopra & Anupama Chopra on Twitter

Writer Chetan Bhagat has publicly said that producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra “bullied” and “drove him to suicide” in a tweet that was directed towards film critic Anupama Chopra, who is also Vidhu’s wife.

Bhagat tweeted, “Write sensibly. Don’t act oversmart. Don’t write rubbish. Be fair and sensible. Don’t try your dirty tricks. You have ruined enough lives. Now stop. We’ll be watching.”

Anupama replied saying, “Each time you think the discourse can’t get lower, it does!” The acclaimed writer was quick to respond and wrote, “Ma’am, when your husband publicly bullied me, shamelessly collected best story awards, tried denying me credit for my story and drove me close to suicide, and you just watched, where was your discourse?”

Bhagat was referring to ‘3 Idiots’ (2009), starring Aamir Khan, R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi. The film was produced by Vidhu. And at the time, Bhagat had claimed that the producer had been unfair to him over writing credits for the film, reports DNA India.
