Of late, rumours had been doing the rounds that Yash Raj Films’ schedule in Ladakh was delaying King Khan from Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’ shoot and, in turn, also Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’. However, insiders have confirmed that this is not the case.

Reports had stated that the YRF shoot was such that both Shetty and Farah would be in for a delay to their respective films. A trade source explained to the Deccan Chronicle, “The speculation started because the Kashmir-Ladakh schedule of SRK۪s film with Yash Chopra still hasn۪t ended and the team will be busy with the promotions for the film for the next month at the very least. Naturally, that got everyone wondering when SRK would start work on Chennai Express, and subsequently on Happy New Year”.

All said and done, an insider closeShetty’s projectconfirmed otherwise, “Travelling to Kashmir and Ladakh for Yashji۪s film was allowed for in Shah Rukh۪s schedule. Chennai Express was to be started only by the end of September. That hasn۪t been affected in any way”. Shetty himself was in agreement that the shoot is due to commence on 27th September.

Regarding ‘Happy New Year’, Farah also revealed that following a six-day schedule in December, theshootwill commence in January 2013.
