Channel Punjab & Rayat TV liquidated

Channel Punjab and Rayat Television (known as DD Rayat) have today officially been listed as liquidated companies.

Both channels were removed from the Sky Digital EPG earlier this year after running into financial difficulties. Where Channel Punjab bundled up its EPG slot, programming content and licence to be sold together, Rayat Television went on to sell two of its EPG slots (DD India / DD News) to INX Network for the launches of 9X and 9XM.

Liquidation occurs when the members of the company resolve to voluntarily wind-up the affairs of the company and dissolve.
