Channel East set to return with a bang

The once popular Channel East is set to return on Sky Digital with a bang, Biz Asia can exclusively reveal. Channel East, which launched on Sky Digital in early 2000 went off air due to financial difficulties in July 2001.

However we have just had confirmation from the broadcaster that it will return later this year bigger and better than before. The channel is expected to make an official announcement at the end of May.

Though we have been told that like before it will be Free To Air and show a range of live shows, which currently lacks on Asian TV at the moment. The station is also planning to launch a radio station coinciding with the re-launch of Channel East. The radio called AkashVani is to go live later this summer. Keep it with us for full details.
