'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' on Channel 4

Channel 4 has announced details of its annual Indian film season, a lot of the films, which are being premiered first time on British terrestrial television.

The ‘Centenary of Indian Film Season’ will see the broadcaster celebrate 100 years of film-making in India with a cross-section of movies and documentaries that span a range of genres from the 30s to the present day.

The season kicks off tonight at 00:15 with ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ (2011), followed by ‘Vicky Donor’ (2012) on Thursday 5th September at 01:45.

As every year, the Hindi films will be telecast on Sunday and Wednesday nights after midnight. The line-up of films conist of ‘Om Shanti Om’ (2007), ‘Aradhana’ (1969), ‘Mere Mehboob’ (1963), ‘Mother India’ (1957), ‘Abhaas’ (1997), ‘Chaudhvin Ka Chand’ (1961), ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ (2001), ‘Gunga Jumna’ (1961), ‘Diamond Queen’ (1940), ‘Devdas’ (1935), ‘Duniya Na Mane’ (1937), ‘Sant Tukaram’ (1936), ‘Andaaz’ (1949), ‘Celluoid Man’ (2012) and ‘Pakeezah’ (1972).
