Changes on ZEE TV schedule in March


ZEE TV is undergoing more schedule changes come March.

With the wrap of three of its popular soaps – Astitva Ek Prem Kahani, Piya Ka Ghar and Reth, the vacant slots path way for new shows. Dramas Mamta and Kasamh Se were introduced recently. The next in line will be a new comedy chat show Johnny Ala Re, which will see comedian Johnny Lever talking to celebs from the entertainment industry. As revealed before, Johnny Ala Re will be co-presented with Swetta Keswani. Johnny Ala Re will go on air Sunday evenings at 21:00 for one hour starting on Sunday 12th March.

The change above automatically results in Rabba Ishq Na Hovve move to a new time slot. From March, the Aruna Irani produced drama will air twice weekly on Thursday and Friday night at 22:30.

Also mentioned earlier on Biz Asia, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa will continue in a new format called Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Ek Main Aur Ek Tu. The new series is expected to be a surefire hit with ZEE bringing back favourite contestants from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa: Challenge 2005. The new format of the show this time will involve the contestants singing in pairs. Every week will see an elimination of a couple. The winners will get a contract with record label T-Series and a whopping cash prize. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Ek Main Aur Ek Tu will air in the same time slot – weekends at 19:00 and starts on Saturday 11th March 2005.

Also from March, Tumhari Disha will air only four times a week as oppose to the current Monday – Friday run. It will remain to air at the same time at 21:30.

Over on ZEE Cinema, the channel has lined up Garam Masala as its Movie Of The Month, which will air on Saturday 25th March at 20:00. The much awaited blockbuster movie stars Akshay Kumar and John Abraham.

Also the first weekend of March, there will be a huge battle for eyeballs on both major ZEE channels, on ZEE Cinema, the much awaited ZEE Cine Awards will air from Mauritius on Saturday 4th March from 19:00. On Sunday 5th March on ZEE TV, the grand finale of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa: Challenge 2005 will air at 19:00.

With the ZEE Carnival taking place in London next month, ZEE Cinema will be celebrating the arrival of two of its major stars in the UK – Rani Mukherjee and Arjun Rampal with a film festival. The movies shown as part of the four week season will be Deewanapan, Bas Itna Sa Khawab Hai, Chalte Chalte, Ek Ajnabee.
