CBFC to ban ‘Ishaq Ka Marz’ song in ‘Dishoom’?

The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has approached the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) over a song in the upcoming Sajid Nadiadwala film ‘Dishoom’.

According to MovieTalkies, the DSGMC wants a ban on the song ‘Ishaq Ka Marz’ in the film, in which actress Jacqueline Fernandez is seen in a short dress dancing with a kirpan, dangling in front of her legs. The committee said that the song insults the Sikh sentiments and it should be deleted prior to the film’s release next month.

The issues comes days after objections raised by the CBFC on ‘Udta Punjab’, which were cleared by the Bombay High Court this week.
