CBFC clears ‘Sanju’ with one cut

Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’ which is this week’s release is all set to wow with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The film has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with just one cut.

Deccan Chronicle reports that the Board asked for a cut to a scene which features an overflowing toilet due to “aesthetic reasons”. A source explains, “There are reports doing the rounds that members of the censor board had objections to Mr Sanjay Dutt’s portrayal in a positive light. But we are not here to judge a film’s morality. We have evaluated the film in its totality and found nothing objectionable barring fleeting shots and a few dialogues here and there.”

‘Sanju’ becomes ones of the first biopics to have an almost easy ride with the Censor Board and this is definitely good news for all those waiting for the film’s release.
