BT Sport eyes UK rights for Pakistan cricket

After grabbing a chunk of Premier League football rights, BT Sport seems to be on a roll to acquire UK television rights for various cricket boards.

Earlier today, it was confirmed that BT Sport has notched up rights for the Ashes series in 2017-18. Cricket Australia announced a five year deal with BT Sport, reportedly worth �80m.

According to The Telegraph, it now seems to be eyeing up Pakistan Cricket Board rights despite Sky Sports being close to agreeing a deal. However, the latter could lose rights for England�۪s series against Pakistan in the UAE in October as its battle with BT Sport intensifies.

The Pakistan Cricket Board would no doubt welcome the bidding war to secure its future.
