Broadcasters to resume signals on cable in India as NTO 3.0 dispute ends
After days of stand-off between broadcasters and cable companies, an agreement has finally been reached in the ongoing spat over New Tariff Order (NTO) 3.0.
Cable operators have signed fresh Reference Interconnection Offer (RIO) “without any prejudice”.
A source told Exchange4Media, “The matter between AIDCF and broadcasters is now resolved. It was a very pressure situation for the AIDCF members, local cable operators as well as consumers. The members were expecting an interim relief much earlier, but did not get.”
Signals for broadcasters should resume today. The case in the Kerala High Court will continue.
