British Indian MP Lisa Nandy appointed new UK Culture & Media Secretary

Lisa Nandy has been named the UK’s new Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport.
Nandy was appointed today as part of the new cabinet by the new UK prime minister, Keir Starmer, following the Labour Party’s history landslide election win on 4th July where it won 412 seats and ended 14 years of Conservative rule.

Nandy, who is the MP for Wigan replaces the Conservative minister Lucy Frazer, who was appointed in February 2023 by outgoing Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
