‘Brahmastra’ cast to work double shifts?

After countless delays in its production, it seems filmmaker Ayan Mukerji will do everything he can to ensure his much anticipated ‘Brahmastra’ reaches completion. With the coronavirus pandemic being the biggest obstacle for the team, Mukerji has planned back to back shifts for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt once they resume shooting.

“If the crisis is relatively under control, and things go as planned, the film will go back on floors in October. Ayan has broken down the shoot onto two shifts – 9 am to 2 pm, followed by another form 4 pm to 9 pm,” Mid-Day reports as source revealing.

It went on to add, “There will be two separate minimal crews for the stints, with each unit adhering to on-set safety guidelines. Since producer Karan Johar is eyeing a June 2021 release, Ayan wants to wrap up the shoot latest by December.”

Despite lockdown regulations easing in India, those over the age of 65 who work in the film and TV industry are still not permitted to return to work. However, with Amitabh Bachchan playing a pivotal role in the film, makers are hoping this will also ease in the coming months.
