#BoycottNetflix trends on social media over ‘A Suitable Boy’ kissing scene

With Mira Nair’s adaptation of Vikram Seth’s novel ‘A Suitable Boy’ being released on Netflix, there has been huge uproar against a kissing scene that is showcased between the protagonist and her interfaith love interest, where the hashtag ‘BoycottNetflix has been trending online.

According to Box Office Worldwide, BJP leader Gaurav Tiwari has filed an case against Netflix in Madhya Pradesh, stating that the scene promotes love Jihad, and has deleted the application from his phone.

As the scene is shot in the premises of a temple, many have argued why makers of the series didn’t consider shooting the same scene in a mosque.

Netflix are yet to comment.
