There have been calls to ‘boycott’ and ‘ban’ the BBC after a caller abused Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s mother live on its ‘Big Debate’ show.
The clip, which has gone viral, was a part of a debate revolving around the protests in Delhi following three agri reforms passed by the government. During the show, the live caller swore at PM Modi’s mother, Heeraben Modi.
Social media users have urged the BBC to investigate the programme and have demanded an apology for the offence caused.
