Box Office: YRF’s ‘Saiyaara’ crosses £2 million in the UK

‘Saiyaara’, the Yash Raj Films backed soulful romantic drama, has officially crossed the coveted £2 million mark in the UK-Ireland box office, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025 in the region. The picture surged past the milestone within days, adding another benchmark to the studio’s remarkable overseas run.

This marks the seventh YRF-distributed film to surpass the £2 million mark in UK-Ireland, joining the ranks of the banner’s most iconic overseas performers. It also becomes the first film fronted by debutants to hit the milestone, signalling both a generational shift and a renewed appetite for emotionally intense storytelling led by fresh talent.

Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s ‘Saiyaara’ is making global headlines as a debut-led film that has not only achieved humongous box office success but has marked a historic moment for newcomers in Bollywood, setting a new benchmark in the industry.

Directed by Mohit Suri, ‘Saiyaara’ has found immense resonance with diasporic audiences thanks to its poignant depiction of love, loss and redemption, bolstered by a haunting musical landscape. The film’s soundtrack, featuring breakout tracks like “Barbaad,” the title song and its Reprise, and “Tum Ho Toh,” continues to dominate streaming charts across platforms, amplifying the film’s cultural imprint.

For India’s leading studio, this marks another stronghold in the UK market, where its brand of cinematic emotion and global storytelling has consistently performed. With ‘War 2’, the next chapter in the YRF Spy Universe starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, set to arrive on 14th August under Ayan Mukerji’s direction, the momentum shows no signs of slowing.
