Box Office: ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ hits 100 crores in India


Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ has become one of the first Bollywood releases in recent times to cross the Rs 100 crores mark within a week of its release.

Earlier this week, the romantic movie entered the Rs 100 crore club after its business crossed the magical figure worldwide.

However, today’s figures consolidates the film’s success in the domestic market alone. It has re-injected life into the box office India and rest of the world.

‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone and sits in fourth place amongst the biggest Bollywood grossers in terms of worldwide business. It joins ��Ra.One�۪ (2011), ��Ek Tha Tiger�۪ (2012) and ��Dabangg 2? (2012), all of which were released during a public holiday.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji and with music by Pritam, the film is indeed proving to be 2013?s biggest hit yet.
