Box Office: ‘xXx Return Of Xander Cage’ rakes in $300m

Deepika Padukone’s foray into Hollywood with ‘xXx: Return Of Xander Cage’ may have got a mixed response worldwide, however it has managed to rake in $300 million from its global release.

According to Forbes, the film, which had a budget of $85 million has emerged as the biggest successes at the box office globally so far this year. While, collections for North America were not as good, the figures were mind-boggling in China with over $134m. While the original ‘xXx’ in 2002 earned $277m worldwide, the latest film has clocked up $308m so far.

‘XxX: Return Of Xander Cage’ will have competition at the top from Universal/Comcast Corp.’s ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ and Warner Bros./Time Warner Inc.’s ‘The LEGO Batman Movie’.
