Box Office: ‘War 2’ crosses Rs. 100 crore after four days of release

Yash Raj Films’ highly anticipated action-thriller ‘War 2’ has crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark, four days after its release. The film earned approximately Rs. 27 crore nett on Sunday, showing a slight improvement over Saturday’s figures. However, both weekend days fell short of the opening day’s performance, which itself was considered underwhelming.

The film’s four-day total now stands at over Rs. 125 crore nett. While Monday’s performance will be crucial, early indications suggest that ‘War 2’ may struggle to maintain momentum, with expectations of modest weekday collections.

The tepid response has been noted globally, with the film performing reasonably well in the United States. Overseas earnings are projected to close at around $6.5 million, including a minor contribution from regional language versions.

Across all formats, ‘War 2’ is expected to reach approximately Rs. 175 crore nett in India, with worldwide collections nearing Rs. 265 crore. Of this, the Hindi version is estimated to contribute around Rs. 202–203 crore globally.
