Box Office Update: ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’

This weekend�۪s hot release ��Teri Meri Kahaani�۪ has had a tepid start at the Indian box office, but has been appreciated abroad and is doing well in overseas markets due to the nature of its content which is less massy and more geared towards the youth and ‘NRI’s.

According to Box Office India the film opened to a response of 30-35% but there are hopes that the film’s collections may grow over the weekend depending on word of mouth.

Noted trade analyst Taran Adarsh highlighted the overseas figures of the film which are far more positive.

“#TeriMeriKahaani – UK Fri � 55,225… Australia Thu+Fri A$ 30,773… New Zealand Fri NZ$ 6,279… UAE Thu+Fri AED 970,000. Good in Overseas!�۝ He tweeted.

Directed by Kunal Kohli, The film stars Shahid Kapoor as Javed, Govind and Krish, and Priyanka Chopra as Rukhsar, Aradhna and Radha ��� all characters in a love story that spans three eras (1910, 1960 and present day).
