Box Office: ‘Ungli’, ‘Zid’ & ‘Zed Plus’ open to dismal response

There are three releases today, ‘Ungli’, ‘Zid’ and ‘Zed Plus’. The films, as early indications show, are doing pretty mediocre business on opening day at the Indian box office.

‘Ungli’ is perhaps the most promising out of the three but still seems to be doing less business than last week’s ‘Happy Ending’, according to Box Office India.

It is thought ‘Zid’ which sees the debut of Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Mannara would have done better had it have been the solo release. It seems to be faring well in the mass centres but otherwise not as good as expected. ‘Zed Plus’ is doing very poorly.

‘The Hunger Games’ is also released today and therefore it is safe to say that the Bollywood releases will need to rely on word of mouth.
