There’s been much fanfare over Salman Khan’s films recently, however, it seems ‘Tubelight’ has underperformed in terms of Eid releases compared to his previous.

The film, which was released prior to the Eid festivities, has garnered Rs. 64.77 crores on the first three days of its release. This compared to ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (2015), which entered the Rs. 100 crore club in its first weekend of release.

Comparing ‘Tubelight’ to other Khan films released over the last six years:

2016: Sultan – Rs. 105.53 crore
2015: Bajrangi Bhaijaan – Rs. 102.60 crore
2014: Kick – Rs. 83.83 crore
2012: Ek Tha Tiger – Rs. 100.16 crore
2011: Bodyguard – Rs. 88.75 crore

The film is expected to see a surge in ticket sales today as Eid is being celebrated across India.
