Box Office: ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ shatters first day records

Yash Raj Films’ latest release ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ has shattered first day box office records.

The film, which has opened up with bad to average reviews, has collected around Rs. 50 crore nett on the first day, according to Box Office India. It has beaten the previous record of Rs. 39.32 crore registered by ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’.

The Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer has beaten all single circuit figures of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. It may fall short of the business of ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, which had advantage from the South, Delhi / UP and Bihar.

‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ is the ninth biggest amongst other Aamir Khan releases. ‘Dil’ (1990) remains the biggest Khan film ever.
